Student Alumni ambassadors
In March 2020, I accepted the title of a University of Delaware Student Alumni Ambassador. The role of a UDSAA was to bring forth school spirit, connect with UD alumni, and to encourage the UD community to engage in philanthropy to support our institution and community members. I have since then devoted 60+ hours to the organization through staffing alumni events, engaging with alumni, and uplifting the UD community through UDSAA.

Encouraging philanthropy THROUGH ALUMNI INTERVIEWS
Philanthropy refers to charitable acts or acts of good that aids others or society as a whole. Through UDSAA, I had the opportunity to interview UD Alumni on their viewpoint of what philanthropy is, what philanthropy looks like, and the current philanthropic efforts they engage in through the University of Delaware.
I learned that philanthropy is not confined to monetary donations but also acts of services for the benefit of the community. One alumni gives back to UD by serving as a mentor for Lerner College students, showing that time, experience, and skillset are acts of philanthropy that can be utilized to benefit the UD Community.
